Roosters team for Round Seven: Anthony Minichiello (C) ,Daniel Tupou, Michael Jennings, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, James Maloney, Mitchell Pearce, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend, Sam Moa, Mitchell Aubusson, Sonny Bill Williams, Boyd Cordner. Interchange: (From) Daniel Mortimer, Martin Kennedy, Aidan Guerra, Luke O’Donnell.

Mitchell Pearce and Sonny Bill Williams have been named despite missing the City Country and Anzac tests, respectively  with injuries over the weekend. Both are likely to play.

James Maloney returns following a so-so performance in the CvC Origin match over the weekend in front of a huge crowd, while Michael Jennings also returns after developing a great combination with Adam Reynolds in the same match. He was the recipient of some great touches by the Rabbitohs half in that game and all eyes will be on him and Mp7 to see if they can replicate some of it. Jennings has been quiet the past two rounds since SBW shifted primarily to the right side of the field, with Jennings running it just six times against the Bulldogs.

Mitchell Aubusson will line up against the team he shunned in free agency just this week for far less money to stay with the club that brought him through the ranks.

Dragons team for Round Seven: Jason Nightingale, Brett Morris, Chase Stanley, Matt Cooper, Daniel Vidot, Jamie Soward, Nathan Fien, Dan Hunt, Mitch Rein, Jack Stockwell, Tyson Frizell, Ben Creagh (C), Trent Merrin. Interchange: Bronson Harrison, Matt Prior, Jack De Belin, Damien Cook, Michael Weyman.

This is the first game since Jamie Soward signed a rich four-year deal with Penrith and since the club splashed out on big-money signings Joel Thompson from Canberra and Gareth Widdop from the Storm. It will be interesting to see how the halfback plays with an eye towards next year — especially as he always seems to aim up against the Roosters, his former club.

Michael Weyman has been named on an extended bench following a layoff with a calf injury, and is the only change to the team that beat the Wests Tigers two weeks ago.
