The Roosters have won just twice against the Sea Eagles in their past 10 attempts, including having 50 points put on them twice. However this does not include the trials this year when the Roosters won 20-4.
These teams are ranked first (Roosters) and second in the league in points allowed per game.
Roosters team for Round Nine: Anthony Minichiello (C) ,Daniel Tupou, Michael Jennings, Shaun Kenny-Dowall, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, James Maloney, Mitchell Pearce, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend, Martin Kennedy, Mitchell Aubusson, Sonny Bill Williams, Boyd Cordner. Interchange: (From) Daniel Mortimer, Frank-Paul Nu’uausala, Aidan Guerra, Luke O’Donnell.
Sam Moa has been ruled out with a knee injury. He’s been replaced by MK in the front row with Lama Tasi being passed over for a spot on the bench in favour of FPN.
Sea Eagles team for Round Nine: Brett Stewart, Jorge Taufua, Jamie Lyon (C), Steve Matai, David Williams, Kieran Foran, Daly Cherry-Evans, Brenton Lawrence, Matt Ballin, Brent Kite, Anthony Watmough, Justin Horo, Glenn Stewart. Interchange: (From) James Hasson, Tom Symonds, Jamie Buhrer, George Rose, Esi Tonga.
Brett Stewart has been named despite copping two knees in the back against the Dragons on Monday and being forced from the field. Steve Matai returns from suspension pushing Tom Symonds back to an extended bench along with Jamie Buhrer.
If Brett Stewart ends up playing this will be as close to a full strength squad as the Eagles are capable of, missing only prop Jason King.
