The BBQ, MP7 and Jenko have again been named to the NSW team to take on the Maroons on Wednesday week.

The Roosters gave a solid insight into the options available to coach Trent Robinson for the upcoming game against the Bulldogs, with all three players unable to play due to selection and possibly a fourth — if Martin Kennedy is picked for the Queenslanders.

But Samisoni Langi did not play in yesterday’s Holden Cup win against the Warriors, the young five-eighth ruled out with a shoulder complaint. He has been training all year with a view to this game being his debut.

It will be a very interesting team announcement tomorrow night.

From The Roosters:

Game One standouts James Maloney, Mitchell Pearce and Michael Jennings have this afternoon been named for second State of Origin match at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on 26 June.

All three were key in the Blues victory over the Maroons in the first clash of the 2013 series, with 10 of NSW’s 14 points coming from Maloney and Jennings and the only other try being initially set up by halfback Pearce.

The trio will join Blues camp tomorrow, after tonight’s clash with the Warriors, and miss next Friday night’s blockbuster with the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.

Dan Mortimer is likely to be moved from the bench into the No.7 jersey, to replace Pearce, and Samisoni Langi a possibility to make his NRL debut in the halves alongside Mortimer after a strong showing in the opening half of the season in the Holden Cup.

Former Sea Eagles flyer Michael Oldfield, who appeared on the wing for the Roosters in Round 5 against the Raiders in Canberra, is one of a handful of outside backs likely to come in as a replacement for Jennings in the left centre spot.

Others in contention, currently playing alongside Oldfield for NSW Cup side Newtown, are Adam Henry, Usaia O’Sullivan, Paul Rokolati and Henare Wells.

Mitchell Aubusson is also an option to replace the man they call Jenko, down the left edge, while Roger Tuivasa-Sheck or Daniel Tupou may also find themselves shifted in from the wing.
