Sydney Roosters fullback Anthony Minchiello has been ruled out for 2-3 weeks with a knee injury.
Mini picked up the injury when he hyper-extended his right leg trying to dislodge the ball from David Simmons, who ended up scoring anyway.
The Roosters’ captain played on until the 68th minute when the game was out of reach, but a few minutes prior to that had switched out to the wing with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck taking the reins at fullback.
He went for scans today and the Roosters confirmed the injury on their website.
RTS will most certainly be named at fullback tomorrow, with this writer expecting Shaun Kenny-Dowall to take his place on the wing, Mitch Aubusson to move to the centres, Guerra to start in the second-row and Dylan Napa to nab the vacant spot on the bench.
Captaincy will be the biggest question for Trent Robinson to answer, with vice-captains Jared-Waerea-Hargreaves, Jake Friend, Boyd Cordner and Mitchell Pearce all available for the clash with the Raiders on Saturday night. Of the quartet, Cordner and Pearce are the two most likely as they’re playing 80 minutes regularly for the club.
