UPDATED: Roosters coach Trent Robinson may be forced into some late changes to his squad ahead of the game against the Bulldogs tonight.
According to a well-placed source, Isaac Liu will come in onto the bench, with Dylan Napa and Kane Evans in doubt and facing fitness tests. Napa was throwing up yesterday, and Evans is struggling with an ankle injury.
They are giving Napa up until kickoff to prove his fitness. If he’s deemed good to go, the Roosters will rest Kane’s ankle, but if Nap Time can’t make it the Roosters will run with the Undertaker’s brother.
Robbo will promote the in-form running game of Frank Paul Nu’uasala to the front row regardless, which would push Dylan Napa back to the bench — assuming he isn’t ruled out. Aidan Guerra will be promoted to start in FPN’s customary lock position.
Liu will start from the bench after missing almost all of the pre-season with an injury suffered during the Nines, which required surgery and had him ruled out for between 8-12 weeks.
Keep an eye out for the late changes prior to kickoff. It’s apparently all happening at the Roosters today — yikes.
