Roosters are in another Grand Final — SG Ball-style

Are you doing anything on Saturday? And if you are, do you really need to do it?

We were spoiled last year with a Grand Final for the ages, but it isn’t really that often that we can say the Roosters are in a decider. Except that, of course, they’re in another one this weekend.

The SG Ball team will face off against Penrith on Saturday at 2Pm, and club officials are hoping for a bigger crowd than the Panthers actually get out at Penrith (note: club officials have never actually said that).

It’s at Leichhardt Oval, so you can grab a tinny, sit on the hill and watch the future of the sport running around in the biggest game of that age grade’s season.

There’s a Tuivasa-Sheck playing (of the Johnny variety) and an exciting young fullback named Latrell “Don’t call me Spree” Mitchell. They scored a fantastic win last week, beating Souffs 34-26. You can watch the highlights here.

If you’ve got nothing doing on Saturday, you could do worse than head over to the picturesque Leichhardt Oval and lend some support to the boys, because grand finals don’t come around that often.

  1. Would love to…but clashes with the BIGGEST game on the NSW Cup calendar – Newtown vs Norths (Frank Hyde Cup) @ Henson Park 3pm. Both games are run under the auspices of the NSWRL…so you would think they would be aware…
