Boyd Cordner to return; rumours of more changes?

Source: Twitter.

It’s been well reported that Boyd Cordner, out all year with a pectoral injury, would return this Monday to play the Dragons on Anzac Day — he said as much to the Telegraph this week — and 26 Rounds can all but confirm that he will, though at whose expense is another matter entirely. With their reserves squad, Wyong Roos, having the bye this weekend, coach Trent Robinson can play it by ear and make a last minute decision about who drops off the Roosters’ bench.

But don’t be surprised if this isn’t the only change the Roosters make prior to kick-off.

26 Rounds is hearing strong rumours that there’ll be a change in the halves, and one in the backline. Nothing is 100% at this stage but at least one of the changes will be a welcome one, while the other change 26 Rounds didn’t even see coming. Both changes involve players that weren’t named in the squad on Tuesday.

We’ve been sworn to secrecy here at 26 Rounds and we value that, so we cannot name the players I’m afraid. Rest assured it’s from a very strong source.

Watch this space, and keep your eyes on the Roosters’ Twitter and Facebook accounts an hour out from kick-off tomorrow.
